Wild Blue Skies wants an Xbox-style gamepad. Skybridge 64 reads your N64 controller

instead and hands the game a virtual Xbox pad, mapped the way Star Fox 64 played on

the original hardware.

**One button for both shots**

No separate button for the tracking / lock-on shot — the same one does both, and how

long you hold it decides which you get:

tap A normal laser
hold A the laser charges (the tracking shot)
release A it fires

Holding past 370 ms switches from firing to charging. Tapping isn't throttled: a press

fires at once and holding adds two follow-up shots before the laser goes quiet — the

same burst pattern as the original.

**Controls**

Stick steer C left boost
A laser/charge C down brake
B smart bomb C right radio
Z / L tilt left START pause
R tilt right (double-tap Z/L or R to roll)

**Using it**

Unpack everything into one folder, run Skybridge64.exe, plug in your N64 controller,

then start the game. Around 40 adapters are recognised on sight; an unknown one asks

you to press each button once and remembers it.

If the ViGEmBus driver is missing, press "Set up now" once — the installer sits right

next to the program, signed by Nefarius. Nothing is downloaded.

**Honest notes**

Windows 10/11 only. The program is not code signed, so Windows will warn about an

unknown publisher. The full source is on GitHub if you'd rather read it or build it

yourself — it takes one command and no toolchain:
